Shuttleworth College Visit

We recently had a visit from Shuttleworth College D&T pupils to come and have a look around how our refurbishing process works and how our sister companies, LCWS Recycling's recycling process works. After giving them a tour, they got to pull apart a computer themselves to help learn about what components and materials make up a PC. They also got to crush a hard drive, learn about health and safety in the warehouse and then had a pop quiz to round up the trip. The students really enjoyed the visit and gained a real insight into how both companies work and how the different job roles play integral parts within the business. We have now set them an upcycling challenge to create something new out of an old desktop case so watch this space to see what ideas we get back!
